The Kid Barnim is compleatly involed in the Disaster control in the District of Barnim. The person that is in charge has to alarm other KID coworkers in case of a big disaster. The coworker that arrives at first at the place of action, handels the coordination and has because of that only an organizing function.
We talk about a Disaster if there are between 10 - 15 people heavily injured afer an exident. One princible is still natural : Medical first aid comes before Soulcureing first aid !
There is no other way for s coworker to handle a Disaster then handling a "normal" exident ! So stay calm ! The only diffrence is in the number of persons that need help and thats why it needs to be organizied special (?) This is the reason why the Person in charge and the KID coworker that arrived at first have a special assinment : To organise the action.
The person in charge that is on duty has the assingment after beeing alarmend to alarm the other coworkers because he is the ne that can tell the other all the informations without missing something and that minimises misunderstandings and missing-informations. After beeing alarmed through the contol centre will be in addition some other coworkers alarmed. They will call these people from the memberslist first that live the nearest to the place of action. After that they will notify the other local coworkers. If they didn't reach enough people with this procedure the will repeat it ( 2. try). Only when they have enough coworkers on duty and the Rescuestation is informed will the person in charge set off to the area were the disaster took place.
The coworker that arrives at first at the place of action has the only assingment to handel the coordination. That means to contact at first the contorl centre in this case the Firedepartment (to ask any policeman for the way to the contole centre). There they will get informations to the exident and they will assing them to a gatherpoint or a Tent. They got to talk to the operation management to know how far the can go into the Dangerous area or how to get to the injured persons, or how they can come to us.
Its mandatory to wear greenvests ( warning vests) use the Disaster(damage)protokoll and to write down imidiatly Contact persons, Times etc. . Now its time to introduce all the coworkers that are arriving. Write the arriveingtimes on the protokoll.
Generally : Make as much notes as possible ! The Person in charge is the connection between the coworkers and the Control centre. The coworkers and the persons in charge are not allowed to work without a break. After about two hours should another person take turns. The Person in charge of the KID should only care to organzie the Actions und to satisfie the basic needs of the persons that need help. Disasters are exceptional cases and should have a special aftertreatment.
